Hoping to travel on the cheap this winter? Why not bag some Black Friday bargains?

Savvy travelers rejoice; it’s finally Black Friday! As holidaymakers look to head back abroad, airlines are ensuring they’re providing the most competitive travel – and, for one long weekend in November, prices are at their lowest.

We’ve already taken a look at Europe and beyond, so let’s head back to the home of Black Friday and see what US carriers are offering the best deals.

Looking to kick off the new year in Europe? Legacy carrier American Airlines is offering up to $250 off its European vacation packages with the promo code DISCOVER2022.

Planning on sticking in the US? Round-trip flights across American’s domestic network are available for as low as $90, dependent on travel dates and destinations.

All flights must be booked before November 30 and completed before March 31, 2023. Further details are available on American Airlines’ website.

If your tastes are a bit more tropical, Alaska Airlines is offering 30% off flights to Hawai’i (KOA), Oahu (HNL), Maui (OGG), and Kauai (LIH) with the code ALOHA30 until midnight. Discounted flights are available for Mondays to Thursdays between January 10 and February 15, 2023.

Further discounts are available across the carrier’s entire network, with Alaska Airlines offering 10% off all flights, all days of the week. Details are available on Alaska Airlines’ website.

Hawaiian Airlines has launched an almost adjacent promotion, offering one-way flights from as low as $119 from a range of destinations across the US west coast between January and March. Travelers departing airports including San Francisco (SFO), Portland (PDX), and Los Angeles (LAX) can access the $119 Main Cabin Basic fare on some Hawaiian routes, while San Jose (SJC), Sacramento (SMF), and Oakland (OAK) fares start at $129.

HawaiianMiles Members purchasing flights through to Cyber Monday can earn double bonus miles when purchasing at least 500 miles ($15), all the way up to 30,000 miles ($900). While non-refundable, the miles can be used immediately, though they do not qualify towards elite status.

Four promotional codes are up for grabs for JetBlue Vacation’s flight + hotel and flight + cruise packages until November 29;

Offering probably the longest booking window, the discount is available on travel between December 5 and October 15, 2023. Check out JetBlue Vacations for more information.

Ultra-low-cost can get lower; Spirit Airlines is running a range of “Black and Yellow Friday” deals, with flights as low as $32 and 50% off vacation packages. Discounts will be available for flights on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays from December 6 to February 8, excluding December 22 – January 8.

If you’re feeling lucky, the carrier is hosting a sweepstake alongside its deals until Tuesday, with the top prize a free three-night all-inclusive trip to Cancún. More details (including the runner-up prize) are available on Spirit’s website.
